Saudi Arabia is looking to advance into the knockout rounds for the second time in their history. Contrary to the Mexican National Team that has advanced into the next rounds, but being eliminated in the fourth game not reaching that desired fifth game.

However, with everything on the line for both sides, will the Saudis deliver mayhem to El Tri on Wednesday in Lusail City? That maybe the case if they play the same way they did against tournament favorite Argentina, being the tournament’s biggest upset so far!

Whenever these two sides have met in the past, El Tri came out ahead with 4 wins and just one draw. Still, this can be anyone’s game and if the Saudis draw or defeat Mexico on Wednesday, it will be over and it will be a frustrating World Cup performance by the Mexicans.

A number of unacceptable performances by Gerardo “Tata” Martino’s side with a number of not so positive comments of the internal riff amongst players and coaching staff. Mexico needs a win and hope Poland can defeat Argentina or make up the goal difference with Argentina if they draw or Poland if they lose.

Opposite comes the Saudis in Frenchman manager Herve Renard, a man with a few titles under his arm while being manager with Zambia and the Ivory Coast winning the Africa Cup of Nations and the reinstated COSAFA Cup.

Being the manager of Morocco in the 2018 World Cup, and by qualifying them to the World Cup in Russia, the man abruptly resigned from his post and linked to becoming the manager of Algeria. The man resigned after seeing the North African nation being eliminated from the African Cup of Nations.

My conclusion is that both sides are in a do or die situation in order to move on to the next stages and for Mexico, an elimination for sure will be considered a total failure their performance in this World Cup. Contrary to the Saudis with another shocking win over El Tri for sure will give them that desired pass into the next rounds.

Who will it be Saudi Arabia or Mexico?
