HOUSTON, TX–For the seventh time in Concacaf Gold Cup history, it will be the USA against Mexico in the Final. The USA defeated guests Qatar, 1-0, in Austin on a goal by Gyasi Zardes and Mexico got by Canada, 2-1, thanks to a late goal by Hector Herrera in the ninth minute of second half stoppage time.

Orbelin Pineda opened the scoring for “El Tri” just before halftime while Tajon Buchanan got an equalizer for Canada who were in their first Gold Cup semifinal since 2007.
