A seesaw battle ended in a statement as FC Dallas and Real Salt Lake played to a 2-2 draw at Toyota Stadium on Saturday night. Rubio Rubin got RSL ahead in the 20th minute taking advantage of some misplay by Matt Hedges. Francisco Jara equalized for FCD in the 43rd minute from the penalty spot after Marcelo Silva tripped up  Jader Obrian in the area.

Ryan Hollingshead put Dallas in front in the 84th minute after his deflected shot found the back of the net, but Damir Kerliach equalized two minutes later getting in between two defenders and heading in a cross from Aaron Herrera. Despite the rainy conditions, David Ochoa made nine saves and earned Man of the Match honors as RSL now has four points from two away trips while FC Dallas fall to the bottom of the Western Conference based on fewer wins with just the one so far this season.
