Dynamo Ready to take on Chicharito and LA Galaxy on Opening Day.

The 2020 season kicks off in Houston this Saturday as the Dynamo host long time rival Galaxy in a match that will serve as the debut of new Dynamo head coach Tab Ramos.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way” Ramos said when asked about what did it mean to start the season against the Californian side, which has now in its squad Mexican superstar Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez – who will be also making his debut in MLS.

The Orange made some changes in its squad during the offseason. The major acquisition is Veteran Colombian forward Darwin Quintero. “Adapting to play in a team like Houston has been easy. I’m surprised by the way the coaching staff works, and this is why we are ready to start the season in a high note”.

Defender Zerek Valentine, who was acquired via a trade, mentioned he is excited about this new challenge. “We wanted to change the concept other teams and the league itself have about the Dynamo and show we can play and beat anyone in any field.”

In addition to some key additions and new coaching staff, Dynamo comes in in its fifteenth season with a solid based squad that includes Alberth Elis, Mauro Manotas, and Boniek Garcia among other players who won the US Open Cup two seasons ago and compete in the CONCACAF Champions League last year.

Surely qualifying to the playoffs and battle for its third title is the main objective of this team, but first they have to take care of business at home and beat the oldest Los Angeles team just like they did on Decision Day (4-2) last season.
