Mexico 3-Ecuador 2

El Tri got their 2019 Summer Tour off to a swinging start earlier this month, holding off Ecuador 3-2 in front of a capacity crowd at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

Mexico’s goals were scored by Jonathan dos Santos (28′), Luis Montes (63′), and Luis Rodriguez (77′) while Ecuador received goals from Angel Mena (47′) and Ayrton Preciado (66′). The match itself showed the best of both sides and looking back on it was an omen of how they would perform in their respective continental competitions. El Tri have already punched their ticket into the knockout stage of the 2019 Gold Cup while Ecuador are rounding into form ahead of a difficult contest against Japan in Group C of the Copa America.

On hand to cover the match was Prost photographer Ziro Castellanos who you can find on Instagram at zirocphotography. In the meantime please enjoy some of his photos from the match below!
