Chicharito: Osorio is a genius

West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez, commonly known as ‘Chicarito’ has heaped praise on his national manager, dubbing the Mexico boss a ‘genius’ ahead of the World Cup.
Osorio is a Colombian national himself but the Mexico players have seemingly taken to his management style and philosophy. Mexico head into the World Cup hoping to get to the latter stages, a quarter final will be deemed good run for El Tri.
They are in California to play a warm up game against Wales on Monday, and speaking to media ahead of that game Hernandez explained the Osorio love-in.
“It’s a great experience. Apart from being a great human being, he’s a great man, he’s a special character.”
GENIUS
“I call him in a way like a genius because they live in a completely different world than ourselves. Apart from that, speaking about football he has a lot of knowledge. Even if you can speak with him for five minutes about one game or player, he gives you the way he sees football or the way he sees that player.”
Hernandez is hoping for miracles at the World Cup for him and his side. He hopes Mexico can make history for their country this summer, but understands the difficult path that lies ahead for the entire team.
“There isn’t one thing that will make us create history. What we want is try everything so that the universe conspires in our favour and we can deserve to win. Even though the beauty of football is that you can’t guarantee that.”
