Whitecaps Get First Point against FC Dallas

VANCOUVER, BC–Vancouver Whitecaps are still looking for their first league win after playing FC Dallas to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night. The Red Hoops scored first in the fifth minute after Nkosi Tafari sent a cross that was met by Sebastien Ibeagha who headed past Yohei Takaoka. The Whitecaps then pressed for an equalizer and got it in the 34th minute after a flick-on header from Ranko Veselinovic was inadvertently knocked in by Paul Ariola.

The Whitecaps had a chance in second half stoppage time to win it, but a late cross just evaded Sergio Cordova with an open net in front of him. The Whitecaps will travel to San Pedro Sula to close out Real Espana in Concacaf Champions League play and then next Saturday take on LA Galaxy at 7:30pm PT on Apple TV.
