Vancouver played spoiler to Montreal’s hopes of clinching a place in the Canadian Championship Final with a 3-1 win at BC Place. Fredy Montero scored twice, including once from the spot, and Cristian Dajome scored in the 44th minute for the Whitecaps. The Impact’s goal came from Romell Quiotio in the 70th minute. The match turned three minutes prior to Montero’s spot kick when Rudy Camacho was sent off after striking at Montero after claiming he was initially fouled by Dajome.
