North Carolina FC 4 – 1 Richmond Kickers

Cary, NC–In Round Two of U.S. Open Cup action, North Carolina F.C. eliminated the Richmond Kickers with a strong second half performance. With the two clubs deadlocked 1-1 at halftime, North Carolina head coach Dave Sarachan leaned on his players to show more intensity in the second half. The team responded with three goals–including a brace by Robert Kristo–to move on.

NCFC’s next opponent will be the Florida Soccer Soldiers, who upset the Charlotte Independence in penalty kicks.
