FOXBOROUGH, MA–LA Galaxy did their damage in the first fifteen minutes of Sunday’s match against New England Revolution and held on for a 2-1 win at Gillette Stadium. New England stays two points below the playoff line with the two Ohio sides to pass while LA Galaxy go into seventh in the Western Conference one point above Portland.

A quick counter attack started by goalkeeper Jonathan Bond was finished by Daniel Aguirre in just the fourth minute of the match. Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez got the assist on that goal and would score the second in the 15th minute after tremendous service from Riqui Puig. Carles Gil pulled one back for the Revolution, but it is three vital points for the Galaxy as they try to reach the playoffs after missing out last season on Decision Day.
