FRISCO, TX–FC Dallas needed second half stoppage time (which was eight minutes in total) to net an equalizer and earn a point in a 2-2 draw with Vancouver Whitecaps at Toyota Stadium. Paxton Pomykal’s cross was accidentally headed in by the Whitecaps’ Ranko Veselinovic in the fourth minute of stoppage time to deny Vancouver two of the three points late.

Ricardo Pepi put FCD ahead in the 22nd minute, but Vancouver finished halftime ahead on goals by Lucas Cavallini and Andy Rose.

The draw helps neither side as they remain the bottom two in the West with Dallas ahead of Vancouver. FCD remain unbeaten at Toyota Stadium, but five of the seven matches have been draws. The Whitecaps remain winless on the road (0-4-3).

Both teams have Wednesday matches with Dallas traveling to face LA Galaxy (9:30pm CT) while Vancouver “hosts” Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium (9pm CT).
