New England Revolution II announce the signing of Academy goalkeeper Max Weinstein

FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution II have signed 18-year-old academy goalkeeper Maxwell Weinstein to a professional contract.

Weinstein, a Montpelier, Vermont native is the 17th signing of the Revolution II’s 2023 season and the 9th player to sign a professional contract from the Revolution Academy since 2020.

In a career standpoint, Weinstein joined the Revolution Academy in 2020 and was apart of the U-19 MLS NEXT Pro Championship team in 2022. He started all five playoff matches and went on to win Goalkeeper of the Tournament. Following his success with the U-19 squad, Max played in eight matches for the Revolution II in 2022 making 33 saves.

Weinstein joins Esmir Bajraktarevic, Noel Buck, Brandonn Bueno, Malcolm Fry, Hikaru Fujiwara, Colby Quiñones, Dennis Ramirez, and Meny Silva as the ninth Revolution Academy player to sign his first professional contract with Revolution II since the team’s inaugural season in 2020.

For Revolution II fans, the team’s general admission tickets go on sale on Friday, March 24th beginning at $10 per match or $98 for a full-season plan including all 14 home games. The New England Revolution II will kick off their 2023 MLS NEXT Pro campaign on the road as the squad travels to face Atlanta United II on March 26th at 7:30 p.m. All MLS, MLS NEXT Pro matches will be available through the new MLS Streaming Service on the Apple TV app.
