FC Dallas 0-1 Minnesota United FC

FRISCO, TX–No Emmanuel Reynoso? No problem Saturday night for Minnesota United as they defeated FC Dallas, 1-0, at Toyota Stadium before a crowd of over 19,000. The match’s only strike came in the 48th minute after Mender Garcia pounced on a rebound after Franco Fragapane’s shot from distance was saved by Maarten Paes.

Reynoso remains suspended from the Loons without pay for not reporting to preseason camp and details after that are unclear. However, it appears the Loons and Adrian Heath are moving forward.

“With the Reynoso situation and everything that’s gone on, this press conference would have been a lot different if the result would’ve gone against us, but it speaks volumes of the attitude and the fortitude of the group,” Heath said at Toyota Stadium. “I thought their discipline was outstanding at times, and I couldn’t be more pleased with them.”

Dallas, despite a 5-3 margin in possession, were only able to muster one shot on target all evening.

Minnesota next plays on March 11th at home to New York Red Bulls (7:30pm CT), while FC Dallas stays home next Saturday to play LA Galaxy (7:30pm CT).
