Portland Timbers Briefly

It’s Decision Day for these Timbers and manager Miles Joseph and what strategy he will put on game day come Saturday October 21, when they will host the much-improved Dynamo?

As you recall, the Houston side delivered a 5-0 rout back in August that in the end cost their former manager Giovanni Savarese his job at the helm of the Rose City side.

Anyway, for manager Miles Joseph this is it for him to shine in this upcoming game and earn that coveted pass to the postseason and with a lot of opportunities for the Rose City side to shine!

A team that found its identity and delivering an impressive record of 5-2-1, under its interim manager, this game against an upgraded Houston will be put to the test at home and in front of its faithful.

The Timbers will go with everything to get their desired pass, but at the same time they will be hoping to see the likes of SKC, FC Dallas, and Minnesota losing in the last matchday in Major League Soccer.

This team has lots of talent and determination to earn a positive result as well the whatever the formation manager Joseph gets in the field; we don’t see any inconvenience for the Timbers to get a positive result.

Despite the result against CF Montreal before the international break, Portland will try to deliver and not to disappoint its followers that on Decision Day who will never stop their spirited support for the Green and Gold.

Houston Dynamo Briefly

A much improved Houston squad thanks to its new manager Ben Olsen, as the man is turning this team around for the better after ownership finally opened the wallet to reinforce the team.

After spending a number of sorry seasons, the Orange Crush has become an all-around contender in the Western Conference and is already assured a spot in the postseason, currently seeded in fourth place.

A team that recently defeated Messi’s Inter Miami to win their second US Open Cup, this team made history in its first two seasons of their debut in Major League Soccer winning back-to-back league championships.

We credit Mexico’s international player Hector Herrera, the former Atletico Madrid and Porto player, who has upgraded this team’s attack and being a big influence in its attack as well its defensive game.

Give the Mexican international all the credit for the Dynamo revival alongside, the multiple moves made by the team’s front office by reinforcing its main needs in both its attack and defensive backfield.
