Los Angeles Galaxy 0-Vancouver Whitecaps 0

Pick up Zlatan Ibrahimovic and earn a draw on the road despite fielding just 17 players? Not a bad week for the Los Angeles Galaxy (1-1-1, 4 points). Despite the club being a bit short-handed and without a certain Swedish superstar the Galaxy earned a 0-0 draw on the road against the Vancouver Whitecaps (2-1-1, 5 points).

The 22,120 that packed BC Place on Saturday night were greeted with a defensive match-up that showed the strengths of their respective goalkeepers. Los Angeles Galaxy goalkeeper David Bingham and Vancouver Whitecaps goalkeeper Stefan Marinovic each earned their first clean sheet of the season, a positive note considering that both are relatively new to their sides. Bingham came to the Galaxy in the offseason while Marinovic has played less than a season with the Caps.

On hand to cover the match was Prost Amerika photographer Gerrit te Hennepe. You can check out his shots from the match below and all of his Whitecaps photos from the 2018 season on SmugMug.
