Colorado Rapids 1-Houston Dynamo 4

Houston’s dynamic attack was out in full force on Saturday night, ripping four past the Colorado Rapids in a 4-1 win at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

Memo Rodriguez got things going for the Dynamo, scoring in just the fourth minute of the match. Houston were also helped out by the Rapids defense with both Axel Sjoberg (15′) and Keegan Rosenberry knocking in own goals off of shots by Alberth Elis. La Panterita did get one in for himself though scoring in the 67th minute for his third goal of the season. Kei Kamara did get one back for the Rapids in the 81st minute but it was too little, too late for the home side.

With the win, Houston (3-0-1, 10 points) remains unbeaten heading into their week off. As for Colorado (0-3-2, 2 points) their defensive woes continue as they have now allowed in a league-worst 12 goals through just five matches. Their quest for win number one will continue next week in Florida when they take on Orlando City SC (April 6, 7:30 PM EST/10:30 PST).

On hand to cover Saturday’s match was Prost photographer Corbin Elliott. You can check out all of his work from the 2019 season for the Rapids on SmugMug.
