FRISCO, TX–FC Dallas got an early goal from one of their stars and then a match winner from another of their promising youngsters as they went away 2-1 winners over Real Salt Lake at Toyota Stadium. FCD went up in the fifth minute after Geovane Jesus sent a divine cross to Jesus Ferreira who would beat Zac MacMath near post.

RSL came up with an equalizer in the 68th minute as Justin Meram was given a Texas-sized area to send a cross that was headed in by Jefferson Savarino. On an evening full of late goals in MLS, FC Dallas made their contribution through Bernard Kamungo who was born in a refugee camp in Tanzania and moved to Texas and got his start trying out for North Texas SC. Kamungo netted his first in Major League Soccer in the 88th minute and helped give Dallas the three points that move them into fourth in the Western Conference. RSL drop to 12th in the West with the defeat.
