FC Dallas Player Ratings

Jesse Gonzalez 6 – adequate, nothing special, had he only saved Dempsey’s free kick what a different story headed to Frisco

Je-Vaughn Watson 5 – was not effective at the end fo the day, lacked the passing that was needed from deep

Matt Hedges 4 – conceeding the set piece which allowed Dempsey to score is a kick to the netheregions and perhaps his confidence going forward

Ryan Hollingshead 5 – subpar performance, nearly caused a penalty and saved only by the referee not making the call

Zach Loyd 6 – solid performance in the back with few moments of concern, defense is a team effort in the end

Ezequiel Cirigliano 4 – looked poor as the first goal for the hosts was down to him, only takes one moment of lapse and BOOM

Fabian Castillo 8 – scoring the lone goal via a breakaway on the counter attack, can be used again in the return leg

Mauro Diaz 7 – played the set up role really well, key to any future success in the second leg

Michael Barrios 6 – had he not pushed his shot as far right perhaps there wouldve been a near immediate response to the Sounders equalizer

Victor Ulloa 5 – moment to stamp his name on the match late in the match was saved and the ensuing counter attack nearly proved disasterous

David Texeira 4 was largely ineffective, subbed off later than expected in the second half

Sub

Tesho Akindele 5 – came in for a worthless Texeira, hard to have a positive day when your tap in is cleared off the line
