Sounders FC forward Clint Dempsey suffered a hamstring strain in training and will not play in the USMNT’s two friendlies in Europe this week.

He had been due to appear against Denmark and Switzerland. The release says he will miss 2-3 weeks which leaves him out of Sounders match with table topping FC Dallas on March 28th and the next game at home to Houston on April 4th.

He has to be considered a doubt for the visit to LA Galaxy on April 12th. Sounders play at Colorado’s altitude on April 18th and then host Portland on April 26th.
