After the Colorado game, three more games left for the Portland Timbers. First, going to Carson, California and play a surging LA Galaxy and then to Montreal and playing their last match at home against the Houston Dynamo.

No room for error when the Timbers play the Colorado Rapids next Saturday, as the Rapids had an upsetting win over suddenly troubled New England Revolution.

Still, the Rose City team shouldn’t display a comfortable game against a cellar stricken and slumping Rapids side looking forward to play the role of spoilers to whomever is looking for a postseason spot.

Miles Joseph is seeing a turnaround with his side with his record is 4-1-1  in six games so far and the Timbers have scored 12 goals and playing a ferocious defense with its backfield.

As he’s getting everybody involved in the attack, this man has awakened a dormant giant and delivering with one-of-a-kind results and so far, seeded in eighth place.

The Portland Timbers in their last meeting drew 0-0 with the Colorado side, but with the revival his offensive game is currently going on, with an Evander on fire and scoring his ninth goal of the season.

There’s a reason this team is seeing an all-around revival for the better and looking forward to close with a plus as this 2023 campaign is heading towards the end.

One negative is the number of yellow cards given to some players as Cristhian Paredes is displaying an amazing game lately and the man will miss next week’s match due to accumulation of yellow cards.

One thing for sure, the team is no longer getting that many yellow cards lately as well the team seeing how the disciplined instituted by its manager is delivering positive results.

 Colorado Rapids Briefly

This was not the season envisioned by its then manager Robin Fraser after seeing a number of notable players on the injury list and the team currently sitting in the cellar of the Western Conference.

That cost Robin Fraser his job and Scottish born Chris Little taking over as an interim manager. Little will embark in the arduous task of looking for someone experienced to over the helm of this troubled club.

With a number of potential candidates being eyed by this club, the need to bring someone with loads of experience who can lead the Rapids to an immediate turnaround as well looking forward to becoming a contender again.

Still, with Saturday night’s game looming on the horizon, Colorado can play the role of spoiler against the suddenly resurgent Portland Timbers .

The Rapids will be looking to deliver mayhem to the aspirations of the Rose City side looking to salvage its season with a pass to the always celebrated postseason, something that this team is already eliminated from contention.
