Giakoumakis Leads Five Stripes over Orlando

ATLANTA, GA–Giorgios Giakoumakis assisted on one goal and scored another at Atlanta United defeated Orlando City, 2-0, before a crowd of 42,631 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. After two great chances from Orlando early on, Giakoumakis sent a dime of a pass to Saba Lobjanidze who would beat Pedro Gallese far post for the opening score. Giakoumakis added a second in the 71st minute after a lay off from Xande Silva. Atlanta move to sixth in the Eastern Conference table in the early going while Orlando sunk to 14th and are one of three East teams without a win thus far.

Atlanta travel to Toronto FC on Saturday with a 7:30pm ET kickoff on Apple TV.
