Bryan Acosta is the Portland Timbers’ new forward, as the Honduran international has signed with the Portland Timbers from the Colorado Rapids in exchange of $150,000 in 2023 General Allocation Money (GAM) and an option to 2024.

For Acosta he will be ready for match day roster selection with the Timbers for their next league match. “We are pleased to welcome Bryan to the Portland Timbers” said Ned Grabavoy, Timbers General Manager. “Bryan brings a wealth of experience to our club, and he provides us another solid option in a much-needed position. He will play an important role with us as we strengthen the group in our pursuit to pick up necessary results and finish the season strong.”

Acosta, 29, has spent the last five seasons playing in MLS (FC Dallas, Colorado Rapids). He recorded two goals and five assists in 60 regular-season appearances (49 starts) through three seasons with FC Dallas (2019-2021), after signing as a Designated Player with the club in 2019. The midfielder joined Colorado in 2022 and has since tallied four assists in 40 regular-season appearances (35 starts) for the Rapids.

Impressive CV of Acosta becoming the newest addition to the Portland Timbers midfield and looking forward to making an impact with the team in the remainder matches of this 2023 campaign. Josue Acosta Ramos is a forward born on November 24, 1993 in La Ceiba Honduras.

Acosta, will join the likes of Peruvian center back Miguel Araujo, and Brazilian winger Antony.
