TUKWILA, WA–Tacoma Defiance went up 3-0 on Minnesota United 2 and then had to hold on to win 3-2 at StarFire Sports Complex in MLS NEXT Pro action. The win propels the Defiance to the top of the Western Conference. Juan Alvarez, Travian Sousa, and Marlon Vargas all scored for the Defiance; while Sagir Arce and Thomas Williamson replied for Loons 2.
