Lucky Mkosana was again the hero as the second-half substitute lifted the Tampa Bay Rowdies to a 1-0 victory over the Charleston Battery in the USL Championship Eastern Conference Semifinal at Al Lang Stadium.
It is the first time the Rowdies had advanced to the Eastern Conference Final since joining the Championship prior to the 2017 season.
Mkosana’s goal was his fourth of the season, all of which have come as a substitute. Mkosana scored in the 79th minute off a free kick by Zach Steinberger.
The Rowdies will play Louisville City FC next Saturday night in Louisville. The Western Conference Final will feature Phoenix Rising FC against El Paso Locomotive.
