The Portland Timbers Dairon Aspirilla, Andy Polo eligible for the Expansion Draft

For newcomers, Inter Miami FC and Nashville SC they have a pool of players to select ahead of the upcoming 2019 Expansion Draft, with the Portland Timbers releasing a list composed of eleven players.

No surprise to see in the list Dairon Aspirilla, Andy Polo, Tomas Conechny, Andres Flores, Moudou Jadama, Renzo Zambrano, Jeff Attinella, Claude Dielna, Aljaz Ivacic, Zarek Valentin and Kendall McIntosh.

Contrary to players protected as Sebastian Blanco, Julio Cascante, Diego Chara, Steve Clark, Jeremy Ebobisse, Marco Farfan, Foster Langsforf, Marvin Loria, Larry’s Mabiala, Jorge Moreira, Cristhian Paredes, Bill Tuiloma, Diego Valeri, Jorge Villafaña and Eryk Williamson.

For Renzo Zambrano and Tomas Conechny considered the players to see their evolution in this 2019 and considered as future promises in the Timbers organization, these were also placed in the unprotected list.

This edition of the draft will consist of each team selecting up to five players from the MLS Player list among nineteen teams and picking just one player per team in a five rounds draft with no timeouts and trades permitted.

However, there were five teams exempted are FC Dallas, DC United, Houston Dynamo, New York Red Bulls and Vancouver Whitecaps after they had players selected in the 2018 expansion draft by then expansion team FC Cincinnati.

The 2019 MLS Expansion Draft, to be celebrated on Tuesday, November 19 at 2:30 PM PST.
