Toronto, ON – What a dreadful night for futbol.  Cold and rainy, these are the conditions that Concacaf semi-finalists, the Reds and Las Águilas, had to contend with this evening in their 1st leg matchup.

That being said, it was an historic night for the local team, Toronto FC, against Mexican giant América.

That’s right, the Vanney Boys defeat a Club America, 3-1, in a controversial performance of the referee, Henry Bejarano, who conditions the match early on by sanctioning a penalty in favor of Sebastian Giovinco, scoring on the arc of Agustín Marchesin.

With a very wet field, Las Águilas tried to fly at minute 21′ by Ibargüen assisted by the Olympic Champion, Oribe Peralta.

The reaction of TFC comes on the 44′ just before the brake, The Man of New Jersey, Jozy Altidore convertED  a goal after an excellent play by SG10.

For the 2nd time Ashton Morgan scores the 3rd on the arc of Marchesin and the panorama begins to darken for the team of the Ex Hacienda de Coapa.

The group of Miguel Herrera were neutralized on the BMO Field by the discipline and joint work performed by Michael Bradley and every single player of Toronto FC.

Last night, the Ontarian team gives a lesson of humility, for all eyes of the world that are focused and forecasting the outcome of this competition.

If the Mexican team want to advance in the 2nd leg, they have to score twice and keep it at 0 on their own arc.

Let’s see what happens tonight between Red Bulls of NY and Chivas of Guadalajara, the MLS are beating the Liga MX and surprising the predictions.

A well achieved way to make history at home facing a team who knows the experience to be champion of Concacaf Champions League.

Also a great shout-out to all the 23,463 brave TFC and América fans, that showed up and cheered on through the rain their favorite team.
