Russell Teibert

Russell of 2012 made an appearance at BC Place, he was buzzing all over the pitch. He was making great passes forward to get the ball up the pitch. His hustle and back tracking was so good this game he never stopped running all over the pitch. With a log jam at midfield for this team when he gets a chance to play minutes this season he has to make the most of it.

Maybe it was the shaved head and losing all the fancy hairdos that gave him the extra step he had tonight. I hope he can continue to improve and manage to stay healthy the rest of this season.

Jordan Harvey

Has been the best Whitecaps defender this season by a country mile. His veteran leadership on and off the pitch is the reason why Carl Robinson puts Harvey on the pitch time and time again. When Waston was sent off with his 2nd yellow card he filled in nicely at center-back until they could sub in Pa-Modou Kah on to the pitch.

He never got beaten down his wing and he is so composed in the box when the ball was there and everyone was scrambling. He is a calm player who has done and seen it all and knows how to play the situation however it is presented to him.

Kendall Waston

I do not fault him for getting his first yellow card, it was soft and we have and will continue to see him receive those all season long. Where I fault him is on the Sporting KC goal. Watching the replay on the pitch and he is standing still. He got caught sleeping, that is not the first time it has happened to him this season.

On the second yellow he had no other chance to clear the ball. If Ousted got to ball and took out the Sporting KC player he would of received a straight red. It was a poor pass by Parker that put him into that position.

More then likely he was not going to play this Saturday against NYCFC but now it saves him the flight cross country on short turn around.

Matias Laba

After such a great game versus FC Dallas this game was for sure a step back for Laba. His passing was horrible all game long. He was always a step behind or his pass was just a little to slow getting to his team mates.

Other then the double nutmeg running down the sideline he did not show much this game.Lets hope he puts this game behind him quickly and he is ready for NYCFC.
