After being denied by the visitor’s goalie early in the game, Antony delivered with a brace as well as and early goal by Eryk Williamson that gave the home side Portland Timbers a stunning win over the improved Colorado Rapids.

With Eryk Williamson’s opening goal with just 9 minutes into the game, the man returning after a couple of seasons plagued injuries, he played and exceptional game as well looking forward to an exciting campaign.

Antony became the man of the match with a brace in the 14th minute as well sealing the lead in the 29th for the team’s spectacular win over the visiting and well-strengthened Colorado Rapids coming as the game favorites.

Kudos to Phil Neville becoming the Matchday One Manager of the Week in his astonishing debut with the Rose City side, hopefully this is one of many wins in the season for the former Red Devil and Toffee.
