The Portland Timbers showing off a new kit and a new partnership ahead of a contested 2021 Season

2021 never looked so encouraging for the Portland Timbers after announcing a new kit and partnership just days before they open their training camp and prepare for what seems to be another contested season in Major League Soccer.

Reminiscing that opening day kit back in 2011 and their 2019 striped jersey, the Rose City side unveiled on Tuesday their new primary jersey for this upcoming season.

The features these new jersey features are slit green color designs chevrons down the middle of the shirt, with founding partner Alaska Airlines remaining the main jersey sponsor. The Jock tag displays proudly “Soccer City USA” on the jersey bottom left, while “King of Clubs” is inscribed along with the neck tape as a nod to the Timbers Army tifo from 2011.

This marks the fourth time the Timbers have worn a collared jersey with buttons. In addition to the Portland Timbers and Thorns too, both teams have announced a multi-year strategic partnership that includes being the official jersey sleeve partner with Tik Tok’s logo.

Mike Golub, Timbers and Thorns FC President of Business, stated the club is proud that Tik Tok chose both clubs as their first team sponsorship deals in the US. This partnership will produce weekly content on the social media platform.

The Timbers new jersey will go on sale on Tuesday, March 2 at 12 pm EST on MLSstore.com/Timbers, and information on the availability in store at Providence Park will follow on a later date.
