The New England Revolution went about Thursday’s Superdraft quieter than expected. They traded away their only selection of the day—their 19th pick in the second round (40th overall)—to the Seattle Sounders for the rights to forward, Sean Okoli.

The Revolution have the fifth pick of the third round (47th overall), which is scheduled to take place via conference call on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

On Wednesday, the Revolution agreed to a new contract with Teal Bunbury, who joined the team last February in a deal that gave Sporting Kansas City New England’s natural first round pick.

“In hindsight we gave up a first round pick to sign Teal Bunbury, who just re-signed with us,” Revolution General Manager Mike Burns told reporters at the draft. “We still feel that a first round pick was worth giving up.”

There were some hypotheses floating around that the Revolution might trade their right of first refusal to Juan Agudelo to Orlando City to get a higher pick. Agudelo trained with Orlando City last summer.

But no deal was made, and Orlando selected forward Cyle Larin, a Generation Adidas player out of the University of Connecticut, with the draft’s first pick.
