Sporting Seek Uplift In Make Up Game

Who would’ve thought a make up game from May would be so crucial so late?

Sporting Kansas City look to close out their 2015 season in a good way as they face the Colorado Rapids in the first of two final home matches before the start of the playoffs, which they are still not assured of yet.

At this point the Rapids have nothing to play for aside from spoiler having been the first team from the western conference to be eliminated from playoff contention. While they havent had the best of seasons they did defeat Sporting the last time that they faced them when they played the role of host and from there the slide began.

In the last 10 matches SKC has gained a second worst 8 points. The good summer run has this team still in a good position to not only qualify for the playoffs but still a slim outside chance at making the Conference Semifinals and bypassing the final round.

But to get there, and Sporting needs a minimum of three points from these last two home games, they need to take care of business in the most winable of the two games.

While its obvious that if you score you can win during this slide the team has been shutout four times in the last 10 and scored more than two just once.

Dom Dwyer, Krisztian Nemeth, Benny Feilhaber and Graham Zusi need to find the back of the net and create clear cut chances with the realistic threat of missing the playoffs should they fail at this hurdle.

The talent and drive to win is there they just need to put it all togeather.

Prediciton 1-0 SKC in a really ugly game where only a brilliant Feilhaber free kick will be the difference
