With nine matches left in the season, the Portland Timbers already took their first step and with a big win over Real Salt Lake at home, as this team is starting to wake up and looking forward to try to make a run into the postseason.

On Matchday 29, the Portland Timbers finally got on the winning side and with Santiago Moreno finally scoring his first goal of the season, this earned the young Colombian a spot in the first team.

Another player the Portland Timbers got on this week match-day was Juan David Mosquera making into the bench, thanks to his assist that became the opening goal by Santiago Moreno.

Maybe this team’s hunger to win has been awakened with this win, as the Timbers really displayed a good game all evening long and with a possibility of making it in the remainder of this 2023 season.

The Colombian connection is making a comeback and for sure they will play a big role for the Portland Timbers in their quest of making it towards the league playoffs.
