Revolution address back line depth by taking McCrary

The New England Revolution addressed some immediate needs in this year’s Superdraft in Baltimore, Md., taking defender Jordan McCrary to help stabilize their depth at full back with the tenth overall pick.

McCrary, who was a standout defender at the University of North Carolina, is comfortable playing at either left or right back and is adept at coming from and joining the attack.

For the Revolution, who lost defensive backs Jeremy Hall (option declined) and Kevin Alston (re-entry) draft earlier this off-season, adding McCary adds some much needed support.

The one issue to monitor with McCrary is his injury history, as an ACL injury forced him to red shirt his senior. The Marrietta, Ga. Product, who is listed at 5’9”, returned for the 2015 season and concluded his collegiate career with over 80 matches played, one goal, and two assists.
