Radio MLS Episode 5, Part Two: New friends, new stadiums, and a bucket of KFC

0

Hello and welcome back to the second part of this week’s Radio MLS podcast here on Prost Amerika!

On the second part of this week’s show, host Sean Maslin (D.C. United beat writer for Prost Amerika) is joined by two new panelists to the show Nayib Moran (Houston Dynamo beat writer for Prost Amerika and co-host of the Mexican Soccer Show) and John Marshall (San Jose Earthquakes beat writer for Prost Amerika).

In segment one, we talk about this week’s CONCACAF Champions League action which saw Herediano take a surprising lead over Club America and the Montreal Impact continue to wave the MLS flag proudly, beating Alajuelense. The panel look at each team’s chances going into their second leg and whether or not we are in a Golden Generation for Costa Rican football.

International friendlies are also coming up and as always that means constant speculation over who will make the 23 man roster for both the Mexican and U.S. Men’s National Teams. Nayib also provides some valuable insight into the USMNT’s new goalkeeper, William Yarbrough.

We wrap things up in segment one by talking about expansion and Minnesota United being possibly, maybe kinda sort of named the 23rd team of MLS. Plus, John gives some insight into Avaya Stadium and the excitement surrounding the San Jose Earthquake’s new park.

In segment two, we look at the week ahead plus answer your questions on player beards and debate what the best post-match meal is.

All that plus Matt Hoffman is back for “Three Things to Look Out For In MLS Week Three” on the Radio MLS Podcast!
