Radio MLS Episode 1 – The Dawning Of A New Era

Every once in a while an event happens that completely changes the soccer world. Paul Caliguri’s goal against Trinidad and Tobago, Pele signing with the New York Cosmos, Landon Donovan being born. Now there is another event that can be added to this list of very important events in North American soccer: the first episode and birth of Radio MLS here on Prost Amerika.

This is to be our own national show covering every inch of Major League Soccer and the national scene.

In part one of this monumental event, Prost Amerika DC beat writer Sean Maslin is joined by Salt Lake’s Kali Korbis, Brian O’Connell (editor New England Soccer Today, beat writer for the New England Revolution at ESPN Boston) and Matt Hoffman (Prost Portland Timbers correspondent) to talk about the preseason so far and the threat of a possible players strike.

In part two, Sean, Kali, and Matt discuss the second part of the Garth Lagerway interview conducted by Editor-in-Chief Steve Clare which can be heard below. The gang discuss the impact of Lagerway’s move from Real Salt Lake to the Seattle Sounders and look at new RSL Technical Director Craig Waibel.

Finally, in the third part of this debut episode Sean, Kali, and Matt talk about preseason tournaments this weekend, the CONCACAF Champions League and dig into USL’s re-branding.
