Portland Timbers Downs Real Salt Lake in Thrilling 3-2 Win

The Portland Timbers got back to winning after a dramatic 3-2 victory over Real Salt Lake in front of their crowd for MLS regular season match at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon. The Timbers imposed their effectiveness in one of their best displays this season, against a Real Salt Lake that carried the initiative most of the game. Real, was behind the score board the whole game, first,  Dairon Asprilla scored from the penalty spot after a VAR review by referee Rosendo Mendoza in minute 10. Yimmi Chará would extend the advantage after a play by Marvin Loría and Dairon Asprilla in minute 29. Real discounted with a goal by Albert Rusnák assisted by Jonathan Menéndez in minute 40.

The second half went on exactly as it the first half was left. With withering pressure by Real Salt Lake and an incisive Timbers that got their third goal in minute 62 after Felipe Mora scored a cross by Sebastián Blanco. Damir Kreilach, would put the 3-2 in minute 80, and the last minutes of the match was a total siege of the goal defended by Aljaz Ivacic, who had an excellent show, with 7 saves, one critical in stoppage time that allowed the home team to keep all three points.
