ATLANTA, GA–Atlanta United boosted their playoff hopes with a 2-1 win over Seattle Sounders FC. Andrew Gutman’s goal from distance in the fourth minute of stoppage time gave the Five Stripes a dramatic win and keeps them within two points of the playoff line, but with five teams to pass. Meanwhile, Seattle remains one point below the playoff line (behind Portland) in the Western Conference with ten matches to go.
