In front of a boisterous crowd, the Philadelphia Union was victorious over NYCFC with a score of 3-1 on Sunday evening.

The first half was scoreless.  Then at the 57th minute, Maxi Moralez of NYCFC scored with a “thread the needle” shot (assisted by Santiago Rodríguez) that momentarily deflated the crowd.  Then in relative rapid succession, Philadelphia scored three times, first by Julián Carranza (assisted by Jakob Glesnes), then Dániel Gazdag (assisted by  Carranza) and finally by Cory Burke.

Philadelphia will play LAFC  in the Audi MLS Final on November 5, 2022.
