Toronto, ON – What a spectacular night of USL soccer between Ottawa Fury Fc against their closest rival Toronto FC II.

This encounter can be described with spectacular goals from both sides.

The visitors lighted up the scoreboard very early on at minute 4’ with a great play from Dos Santos to Taylor who scored clear passed through the defensive line to the top left of the net.

Fury got their second opportunity at minute 37’ with a corner kick taken by the Spaniard, Portilla, hat turned out to be a golazo straight into the far left side of the arc where not a TFC II player was able to stop and neither was Angoitia even able to deflect the trajectory.

In extra time in the first half, TFC II came back with a bang with two consecutive goals in less than one minute apart equalizing the score before half time, with Bakero off a rebound from Fury defender and right after he assists in a goal for Endoh.

In the second half, no vacation time for either group. TFC II gets a penalty kick at 74’ for a foul on Hamilton who in urn brings the goal home and equalizing once again the match at 3-3.

But the visitor did not want to give away their hard work and they scored the winning goal of the match at minute 78’ with a header from Reid.

Although Ottawa Fury is making great progress in the USL, it is to be noted that they faced and conquered over a TFC II with players that are playing at the MLS level, such as Hamilton, Hagglund and Telfer.

And onto a different MLS rival in Friday night against Montreal Impact FC in a first time ever CapCity Cup. With not even a day of rest in between matches, we will get to witness the true potential of this Nation’s capital team.
