Media Day showed off a very busy Portland Timbers squad hard at work, preparing in what can be another challenging match, but considered the big one that comes Saturday will crown the league’s next champion.

With Dairon Aspirilla, George Fochive, and Giovanni Savarese speaking to the media and answering its questions. Manager Savarese showed his all-around excitement for seeing his team play one of the most important games of the 2021 season.

For Gio feeling special to host MLS Finals, it’s a great joy but the need to keep the Cup at home needs a lot of work for his team. The mentality and closeness are two of the traits of a successful team, those moments are well, is the character of the group the way it handles many moments, and the results.

With the atmosphere in Providence Park is the magnitude of the celebration a moment that the way soccer has grown, and the way people have welcomed and how it has embraced the Beautiful Game and Portland showing its passion for the game.

For the Timbers rivals NYCFC, this team is to be respected come game time. Come Thursday, Gio stated to the media the availability of Sebastian Blanco and the team will make the announcement soon. As Gio stated how his team is showing a strong mentality as well the defensive game has found its game as well the team finding a commitment to play well and lots of confidence.

George Fochive, who was on the 2015 MLS Cup winning squad, spoke next. He’s to play his second MLS Cup and speaking about the team’s good spirits. The turnaround achieved he stated is an accumulation of energy and with teamwork, the team’s fortunes are for real.

The team has changed with new people, but with the same spirits and goals and mentality ready to go all the way come Saturday. To be a part of this squad and play another MLS Cup is a sense of Déjà vu and a surreal feeling.

Dairon Aspirilla spoke about being so happy to be here and that’s how our work has been all season long and happy for the results and looking to win the shield. It was very tough to see the match on the sidelines, but that red card should have been at least only a yellow.

This match motivates us to be 100%, to crown a good season Dairon him being the same and with his feet on the ground and with an extensive base of work and sacrifices will be very important come game time on Saturday, as I am ready.

The mood and good spirits reined that day on Adidas Training Center in Beaverton, as the whole team is showing off a lot of energy and readiness to host the big game and everyone in the Timbers squad is looking forward to delivering the joy of keeping the league shield at home.
