Match Preview: Columbus Crew vs Orlando City

0

The Columbus Crew are back at home against Orlando City, coming off of another 1-0 loss to the Philadelphia Union last week. In a game where a costly mistake was the difference-maker early on, the Crew is looking to rebound on their own field. Columbus currently sits above the playoff line in seventh place, but a win can change their position drastically.

The aforementioned mistake against the Union came in just the third minute of play when Eloy Room was unable to keep a hold of the ball from a cross, that eventually slipped into his own net.

For the visitors, Orlando City is coming into this match looking to get their second consecutive win.

In their most recent outing, the Lions took on the Chicago Fire, defeating their Eastern Conference foes 1-0. Coming into Columbus, Oscar Pareja and Orlando are sitting in second place in the East and look to hold their position.

The series between the two sees Orlando City with the edge, having a 7-6-3 (W-L-T) record against the Black & Gold.

In their most recent meeting, the Crew scathed off a Lion attack with a Lucas Zelarayan stunner, that gave the Crew all three points at home.

INJURIES & SUSPENSIONS

Columbus will be without Kevin Molino (R Knee) and look to be without Luis Diaz (Back Injury) however, his status is questionable.

For Orlando, Antonio Carlos will miss the match with a left thigh injury.
