Adidas Training Center

Beaverton, Oregon

The Portland Timbers after wrapping up another positive Preseason in the Arizona dessert.  Today under a chilly morning classical of the  Pacific Northwest. The Portland squad was back and hard at work at the Adidas Training Center- in full preparation for opening day in what seems to be another challenging campaign. For first year manager Giovanni Savarese hard at work and fully participating with his players in its practice drills. The overall mood in the Rose City squad was all positive for him and his players showing off their high spirits ahead of their league opener.

With many of its veterans leading the way as Diego Valeri, Sebastian Blanco, Alvas Powell and Jake Gleeson. These along with the newcomers in the squad ready for the start of another season full of challenges and surpises this 2018. After seeing the competition steeping up with newcomer  expansion team LAFC in the Western Division. The Portland sqaud is ready to step up its game. With its  promises of providing a lot of excitement thanks to its new game dynamic under new manager Giovanni Savarese.

As this coming weekend the league opnes in all its fronts a new campaign that promises to be as spectacular and contested. Major League Soccer entering its 22 campaign, we must state proudly, you come a long way baby! However, the competition in all of its 23 sqauds will be interesting and exciting come this first weekend of March.

After many teams making their debut and showing off their new arsenals. among one of them will be the Portland Timbers making their debut in the colossus of Carson, California, Stub Hub Center. To play a rebuilt and what promises to be a hardened Los Angeles Galaxy.

At the end I like what I saw today in the Portland Timbers camp, as coaches and especially the player’s enthusiasm . Looks like these are are ready for their opener on Sunday, March 4. As the countdown starts for the Savarese era to shine in Rose City and deliver us a grand 2018 campaign.
