Vancouver Whitecaps 1-Philadelphia Union 1

When Kacper Przyblko was signed by the Philadelphia Union over the summer the hope was that he would be a difference-maker in a tough match on the road. His signing proved to be a good one as his goal on Saturday gave the Union a valuable 1-1 draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

The Whitecaps took the lead just before halftime when an Ali Adnan cross found the head of teammate Doneil Henry, who lifted his shot into the back of the net. But their lead was only temporary as Przyblko (66′) finished off a pass from Jamiro Montero, hitting a low shot towards the far post. The goal was his first of the season. Union goalkeeper Matt Freese faced considerable opposition at a raucous BC Place. But the young keeper proved to be up for the task, making four stops to preserve the point.

On hand to cover the match was Prost photographer Gerrit te Hennepe. You can check out more of his work on our SmugMug page.
