USMNT 2-Costa Rica 0

Two wins in two matches. Not too shabby for the Gregg Berhalter era with the United States Men’s National Team. On Saturday the U.S. continued their winning ways in 2019 with a 2-0 win over Costa Rica at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, California.

Sebastian Lleget pulled the United States ahead with his goal in the 80th minute. The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder was making his return to the USMNT during the January camp after having suffered a devastating knee injury at Avaya during World Cup qualification. Paul Arriola added a second in the 88th minute, his first with the senior national team. Goalkeeper Zack Steffen meanwhile had a relatively quiet afternoon, making one save en route to earning his second consecutive clean sheet.

On hand to cover the match was  Lyndsay Radnedge and Center Line Soccer. You can also check all of her full gallery from the match on SmugMug.
