Toronto FC’s kids are alright.
One of the big questions entering the 2018 season was when Toronto’s vaunted young players would start to make an impact with the senior side. If Friday night is any indication the future might be now for The Reds. Thanks to goals from Ryan Telfer and Jay Chapman Toronto held off Orlando City SC by the score of 2-1.
Chapman’s goal came in the 63rd minute, his second of the season. Orlando City briefly tied things up with Cristian Higuita’s goal in the 73rd minute. But seconds later Telfer found the game-winner and his first goal with the senior side.
