Tampa Bay Rowdies 0-North Carolina FC 2

The Tampa Bay Rowdies took another hit on Saturday night at Al Lang Stadium. Despite matching North Carolina FC for the better part of 90 minutes the Rowdies were unable to capitalize on their attacking chances, losing 2-0 to their USL Eastern Conference foe.

Marcel Kandziora (65′) and Daniel Rios (78′) supplied the goals for North Carolina FC while goalkeeper Alex Tambakis made several quality stops late in the match to preserve the shutout. With the win, North Carolina (8-6-8, 30 points) moves into ninth place in the Eastern Conference, just two points behind the Indy Eleven for the seventh and final playoff spot. Tampa meanwhile stay in twelfth (7-6-10, 27 points).
