Seattle Sounders 3- Minnesota United FC 1

Three points and the return of Deuce. Not a bad weekend for Seattle Sounders supporters. Despite facing a few road bumps against Minnesota United FC on Sunday the Sounders earned their first win of the MLS regular season with a complete 3-1 win over the Loons.

Gustav Svensson and Will Bruin got out the Sounders out to a 2-0 lead early with their goals in the 23rd and 25th minutes, respectively. Super-sub Christian Ramirez cut Seattle’s lead to one with his goal in the 66th minute. But Delem put the match away with his low shot in the 94th minute. The Martinique international actually kick-started his own scoring chance, stealing the ball from the Minnesota midfielder and then laying off a pass for Clint Dempsey. Dempsey in turn gave it right back to a surging Delem who scored his first goal of the 2018 season.
