New York City FC 0-Montreal Impact 0

Sometimes a great bit can be written about a 0-0 draw. Other times, not so much. Saturday’s encounter between New York City FC and the Montreal Impact is definitely a case of the former and not the latter with the two sides struggling to put together even the most basic scoring chances and barely putting up a fight.

Ismael Tajouri Shradi had the best chance for NYCFC in the 62nd minute, finishing off a crisp Valentin Castellanos chip but being called offside. Despite playing up a man for the final 20 minutes (Maxi Urruti was sent off for a vicious challenge) NYCFC failed to convert, giving them their third match of the season in which they were held goalless.
