Columbus Crew 1 -New York Red Bulls 1

Draws are such weird results. Sometimes a draw feels like a win, other times a crushing loss. After earning a dramatic come-from-behind 3-3 tie against Toronto FC last week, Columbus Crew (7-3-6, 27 points) ‘fell’ this past weekend in a 1-1 draw with the New York Red Bulls (7-4-2, 23 points).

Positioning seems to have a lot to do with the mixed emotions over the one point results. Whereas last week where the Crew came marching back to earn a result, this week saw the side allowing a second half goal. Alex Muyl played the role of spoiler for the Red Bulls earning his second goal of the season in the 57th minute. Gyasi Zardes gave the Crew their goal in the 26th minute.
