Atlanta United 5-LAFC 0

Sophomore slump? What sophomore slump.

On Saturday afternoon at Mercedes Benz Stadium Atlanta United FC (4-1-0, 12 points) once again put to bed the notion that their expansion season was a fluke, earning the 5-0 win over Los Angeles FC (2-2-0, 6 points).

Atlanta’s goals were scored by Julian Gressel (17′), Josef Martinez (67′), Miguel Almiron (88′ and 92′), and Romario Williams (97′). Goalkeeper Brad Guzan would earn his second clean sheet on the season and help stretch his side’s unbeaten run to four matches.

On hand to cover the match was Prost Amerika reporter Jason Bell whose write-up you can find here. In the meantime please enjoy some of our photos from the match courtesy of our newest member of the team, Jim Stapp.
